Development Academy

Overview

The ATL Futsal DA is designed for players who want to take their game to the next level. Teams train once a week during the fall and twice a week during the winter on advanced futsal techniques and tactics.

ATL Futsal DA teams compete against other futsal clubs in local and regional games and tournaments. Teams that are successful at regional tournaments are invited to compete on the national stage.

The DA program combines high level coaching on the court with a Sport Psychology and Sport Science off the court that all players can access when they join ATL Futsal DA. ATL Futsal believes in helping players reach their potential and be well-rounded players and individuals by focusing on skill acquisition and most importantly behavior.

Development Academy players will learn skills and habits through futsal that will enhance their outdoor soccer abilities. Futsal is NOT soccer, Futsal is its own sport so therefore players are challenged in a different manner that prevents burnout. Players will be taught futsal specific techniques, tactics, and behaviors.

24/25 TRYOUTS

The court is heating up in September with ATL Futsal Development Academy Tryouts for the 24/25 Season! Development Academy tryouts are open to all players (boys & girls) born 2016-2012, regardless of club affiliation.

Tryout dates, times, and locations are as follows:

Sunday Nov 2nd and 9th

2:00-3:30 PM - 2017-16 Boys & Girls
3:30-5:00 PM - 2015-14 Boys & Girls
5:00 - 6:30 PM - 2012-2013 Boys & Girls

Evaluations

Players are encouraged to attend all evaluation dates, but are not required to attend if a conflict arises. Team selections will be finalized following the final tryout. ATL Futsal is projecting the following teams for the 25/26

Older age groups are recommended for winter training, and if we have enough for a team, we will enter competitions.

Pricing & Schedule

Tentative 25/26 Season Schedule:

November: Once a week training on Fridays; No games
December: Twice a week training; Local games or tournaments (break for Christmas/New Year holiday)
January - Twice a week training, Local games/tournaments, regional tournaments for some teams

Development Academy Pricing:

$500 per player
- $125 Registration Fee
- 3 Monthly Payments of $125 - October, November, December & January
- Club fees cover all training costs (staffing, gym rentals, equipment), game day costs, and coaches' travel expenses
Club fees do not include: tournaments, uniforms, team travel
Sibling Discounts are available
ATL Futsal has established a program to provide financial aid to qualifying participants.
The program is based on financial need only, and is not based on playing ability, while the amount offered will not reduce fees for any applicant to an amount any lower than 25% of the published program fees
This program assists players with annual dues and does not cover the cost of uniforms, travel, or tournament fees.
The family of each participant is required to volunteer up to 15 hours to work at ATL Futsal events and activities throughout the playing season. Requests for financial aid will be based on a first-come, first-served basis, and funds are limited each year.
