Overview

Academy Teams are teams we organize to take to USYF Futsal Regionals. Charlotte, NC

We will hold OPEN AND FREE tryouts to anyone in Knoxville and take the 8-10 best players. These players will learn the strategies of Futsal along with skills that will help them in outdoor.

  • Girls are allowed to tryout for boys teams.
  • Academy teams will play against our other Futsal Academies Atlanta and BHM and participate in the U.S Youth Futsal Regionals!
  • Open tryouts: U11-U12-U13-U14-U16

*Please note* If you are interested in Academy teams, but maybe not traveling this year, please tryout and you may earn a training spot!

USYF NATIONAL ACADEMY INFORMATION

US Soccer's DA (Developmental Academy) is considered the top tier of soccer in the United States.  Formed in 2007, it was designed to bring top players, clubs, and coaches together to develop world-class soccer players.  Part of this program was to introduce a futsal period to aid development.  During the Academy’s winter stage, that January-February futsal period is integral in enhancing the players’ skills as they continue their road to the National Team level.

In Dec 2017, US Youth Futsal Announced the launch of an academy.  "The U.S. Youth Futsal Academy Program is intended to be the equivalent of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy," said Soorena Farboodmanesh, the new USYF program's director. "The objective is to produce players of exceptional ability in Futsal and soccer."

On May 9, 2018, US Youth Futsal selected ATL Futsal as the first and only club in Georgia to be granted this status.

We will apply 2021 for National Academy status
